Holiday Coffee Season
Wow! What a week! Coffee has just been flying off the shelf! Our wholesale accounts have been very active as well. When you roast the best coffee in Salida, you definitley have to prepare for the Holiday season.
Myself, I have been spending much of my time outlining a new book that I am starting on. The working title right now is Real Business for Real people, and will cover alot of business basics, but it will come from the viewpoint of a true small business person. This book will be essential reading for anyone that finds themselves opening a business in a very non-traditional way. It will also contain some great interviews with both small and large business owners alike. Writing is a passion of mine that has always been right up there with coffee roasting. My dream is to one day have at least one of my books published, and of my screenplays turned into a movie. And of course, cupping lots of coffee always helps the writing process!
Speaking of coffee, our new espresso has been fully rolled out for public consumption, and it has been a great hit. It always makes a roaster feel good when a person takes a sip and says ,”MMMMM, this is REALLY good, did you do something new to your espresso?”. I am still going to give it a couple nips and tucks over the next couple weeks, but it is pouring with lots of fruity chocolate depth right now!
