Coffee- The fuel of the future?
Millions of people around the world already use coffee as a great fuel source to get their internal motor revving, but your car? Thats right!
In last weeks NY Times, there was an article about scientists were able to make diesel fuel by essentially skimming the coffee oils off the top of a pot of coffee. Although years away from being viable, if you think of how much coffee grounds are discarded by restaurants and coffee shops, this may be a way to re-use those old grounds to the benefit of humankind and the Earth. This could give a whole new meaning to the term Drive-Thru! Imagine going up to a coffee shop and ordering a double short latte for yourself, and a gallon of Gayo Mountain Sumatra diesel for your car!
